What details of your life could you pay more attention to?
Living With a Busy Mind
Where do I start? My mind never seems to slow down. With OCD, thoughts are constantly racing, overlapping, and demanding attention. It can feel overwhelming at times, but over the years, I’ve found ways to make it work for me.
Writing things down has become my anchor. I use sticky notes, phone reminders, and digital lists—sometimes checking them hundreds of times a day. It may sound excessive, but this system helps me keep track of everything, stay organized, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
If I could change one thing about my everyday life, it would probably be this constant need to check and re-check. Yet, at the same time, I’ve come to accept it as part of who I am. Despite the challenges, everything seems to fall into place, and I manage to stay professional and on top of things every day.
In the end, I’m happy with the way I am. My mind may run a little differently, but it keeps me moving, creating, and achieving.
