“There is no such thing as cold weather just the wrong choice of clothing”

I grew up in Scotland and to me the climate was normal, it didn’t really occur to me until I was older how people talked a lot about the weather and more so the temperature. I always wore shorts most of the year round until it was actually frosty or snowing and then the winter clothing came out. Many years later I settled down in the Caribbean. It took me along time to climatize to the high temperatures but eventually my body became accustomed to it and I wore t-shirt, shorts and flip flops for 20 years. After my return to Scotland I now have an intolerance to cold weather and I have to make sure to enjoy the outdoors I have the correct clothing on and this makes working outdoors so much more enjoyable, unfortunately our modern clothing has softened the human race to the point that even the slightest drop in temp we have to wrap up, thus it has become expensive to live in a cold country.
